Ideas to Help You Earn More Royalties!

E-MAIL DIRECT LINKS FOR YOUR SHORT STORIES to friends and family. Ask them to tell others! To add a direct link, just go to www.authorlink.com/storylink and navigate to YOUR story heading, then copy and paste the link into your e-mail. It will take visitors directly to a summary of YOUR story. Here's an example. For Beverly Vines-Haines's short story, LANGUAGE CLASS she would paste the link: http://www.authorlink.com/storylink/story/2. Or embed the live link like this:
- Support your favorite authors. See my newest short story on Story Link at Authorlink.com: LANGUAGE CLASS by Beverly Vines-Haines. Every time you download and read my story, I earn a royalty and an opportunity to have my story included in other anthologies and publications.
ADD THE LINK TO YOUR E-MAIL SIGNATURE LINE. Copy and paste a similar link and wording into your e-mail signature line so that every time you send out e-mail people will see it.
CONTACT YOUR LOCAL LIBRARY: Ask your local library to post a notice in their newsletter or a notice on their community service board to "Support Your Local Author."
CONTACT YOUR LOCAL NEWS MEDIA (newspaper, radio, TV, community access). You can use the press release at http://www.authorlink.com/news/item/1136 , then add the link to YOUR stories.
VISIT ONLINE CHAT ROOMS. Leave messages in chat rooms and on message boards about your story, with the direct link(s) to your summary page(s).
BUY NICE POSTCARDS from your office supply store and a box of large mailing labels. Print your message on sheets of labels (with the direct link to your summary page) and paste a label to each card and mail to friends and associates.

Featured Picks

Every submission is automatically considered by our editorial staff for a possible Five-Star Pick, to be featured on our main STORY LINK page. Picks and their display on our feature page are solely at the discretion of our editors. Members may not purchase a FIVE STAR designation.

Look for the FIVE STAR FEATURE check box in MY ACCOUNT to see if you have been chosen (allow up to 14 days for the evaluation), or wait for an e-mail alert from Authorlink.

Royalty Payments

Each story you post earns you $0.40 per paid user download. You can track your royalties earned and paid, overall and by story, by logging in and visiting your MY ACCOUNT page.

Deferred Royalty Payment. We pay you within 15 days of the close of each calendar quarter, if at that time the total royalties due you amounts to at least $50. Lesser amounts will be carried over to the next quarter until they total $50 or more. Payment is made either in the form of a check mailed to the Ship To address in MY ACCOUNT or to your Paypal account.

All royalty payments are based upon our accounting department's verified paid sales. Authors will not be compensated for incomplete or unverified downloads.
