MAIN NEWS HEADLINESNov 19- 25, 2012 Edition Louise Erdrich Wins National Book AwardNEW YORK, NY/November 19, 2012--Louise Erdrich's "The Round House" has been awarded the National Book Award for fiction.Katherine Boo's "Behind the Beautiful Forevers" won the nonfiction award Novemver 14 at a New York ceremony. David Ferry's "Bewilderment" won for poetry, and William Alexander's "Goblin Secrets" earned teh award for young people's literature. Winners each received $10,000. Honorary prizes were given by the National Book Foundation to novelist Elmore Leonard and New York Times publisher and chairman Arthur O. Sulzberger Jr. | |
