Beyond presenting the Group’s strategic direction under its new management and the year’s business highlights, the app features videos of top executives, direct press contact, a news ticker and a game where players can win products and other media surprises from Bertelsmann’s various business divisions. Bertelsmann’s Annual Report app for the iPad, iPhone and Android smartphones is now available in English and German from the Apple App Store and the Android Market. Like the printed edition, the app focuses on the strategic approach of the Executive Board led by its new Chairman Thomas Rabe in conjunction with the expanded management committee he has established at Bertelsmann, the Group Management Committee (GMC). The individual GMC members – top executives from across the Group’s various divisions, including Board members – introduce themselves and their responsibilities in short video clips that give a vibrant impression of the media company’s diversity and internationality. The app’s other special features include a “making of” video recorded during the photo shoot for the Annual Report.
