Random House Reissues William Faulkner Classics

As the 50th anniversary of his death on July 6th approaches, Nobel Prize winner and esteemed American author William Faulkner is remembered through six of his most recognized and appraised published works. Beneath beautifully reissued and repackaged Modern Library hardcovers lies the work of a celebrated writer – one whose work was been chosen by The Modern Library as some of the best English-language literature of the 20th  century.

Accompanying Faulkner’s work, writers E.L. Doctorow (author of Homer & Langley, Random House), John Jeremiah Sullivan (author of Pulphead: Essays, Farrar, Straus & Giroux), Marilynne Robinson (author of Home, Farrar, Straus & Giroux) and C.E. Morgan (author of All the Living, Farrar, Straus & Giroux) have written forewords that enhance the work we’ve grown to respect and admire as classic literature. Their modern perspectives have created a unique place for Faulkner’s work in the eyes of the 21st century reader.

Over the course of six months, six classics will show themselves in new lights and fashions. For Faulkner collectors, each release is an event; for readers, a rediscovery.  The six re-issues are:
