Avoid the highly complex and time-consuming technology behind conversion to a multiplicity of formats. We recommend that you distribute your e-book in more than the Amazon Kindle sales channel to insure broader exposure to the marketplace. Thus, we convert your manuscript from a PDF, MS Doc or DocX file to a master ePub format with book cover embedded. This file format has become industry-standard for many e-reading devices, including iPad, Nook and Android-powered devices. You can also order other formats such as eReader format for Sony, though Sony readers also support the ePub format. With an ePub file as your base file, can will have maximum flexibility to convert to as many other formats as you need.
Here's how the process works:
1. For a FREE estimate, submit our Order Estimate form and your MS Doc,DocX or PDF file to us. You can submit the form online, then send your document by e-mail attachment or by a large file transfer program such as transferbigfiles.com,or Sendspace.com. 2. We return a confirmed price to you within two to three working days.
3. To begin your e-book conversion, provide us with written approval by e-mail. Payment can be made through Paypal to dbooth@authorlink.com. Or phone or securely fax your credit card information. Our online credit card ordering process is coming soon. When we verify your credit card, we will begin work, charging your card when the files are completed.
4. We require about 14 working days (or less) to electronically deliver a "review" copy of your project for approval either by e-mail or large file transfer. To see your copy, you must have preview software such as Adobe Digital Editions or Kindle for PC installed on your computer.
Base e-Book Conversion Price Estimates
The following prices are broad ranges to be used only for budgeting purposes and do not represent a final price. We will review your manuscript and provide you with a written quote. Pricing is for standard formats only. Complexity level will be determined on a number of factors including:
- Checking margins, typefaces and other aspects for e-book compatibility
- Table of Contents created (see levels of complexity below)
- Optimization of images and other internal graphical elements
- Tables and charts inserted as images
- Footnotes formatted and interlinked
All projects below will deliver a standard ePub and Mobi for Kindle file. You can add other formats as mentioned below. Pricing will vary depending on the project, and condition of your underlying source file, but here are some broad price guidelines (to be used only for general budgeting). Pricing below assumes we will need to do some preformatting and cover cleanup.
