Writers who dream of writing shows for a children’s television  network have a new shot at doing just that. Nickelodeon, the cable television network, now has a writing fellowship that actually seeks out and pays its fellows to learn the business. With us today is Karen Kirkland, executive director of the Nickelodeon Writing Fellowship.

Developed to broaden Nickelodeon's outreach efforts, the Nickelodeon Writing Fellowship is designed to attract, develop and staff writers with diverse backgrounds and experiences on Nickelodeon Network productions.

For consideration in the '11 - '12 fellowship, materials must be submitted together between January 2, 2011 and February 28, 2011. Please review the Nickelodeon Writing Fellowship Submission Guidelines for additional requirements.
