LOS ANGELES, CA (Authorlink News, Nov. 1, 2008)--RPM, a crime thriller produced by Mandalay Television and inspired by Stephen G. Michaud's book, LETHAL SHADOW, is breaking new ground in the world of digital and television content. What is called a "microseries," RPM embraces 20 2-minute episodes that run on both TNT Television during commercial breaks, and on TNT's Internet site. Sponsored by Ford Motor Company the microseries features the Lincoln MKS within the storyline and across several custom marketing platforms driving tune-in. RPM premiered within primetime episodes of Law & Order on TNT in October 2008. The series stars Johnathon Schaech (Prom Night), Lori Heuring (Runaway Jury) and Brian White (The Shield). Written by Wendy West (The Closer) and directed by Steve Shill (Deadwood, Dexter), RPM centers on Reed P. Marks (Schaech), a husband and father of two who is looking to move past his former career as a homicide detective and the dangers it imposed on him and his family. Unfortunately, with one phone call from his former colleague, Detective Shawn Watkins (White), Reed is compelled to help solve a murder investigation linked to a case from four years ago. Confronted with his past, he is determined to help catch the suspect over the course of only a few days utilizing his Lincoln MKS to track down the suspect. RPM comes to TNT from Mandalay Television. The microseries is executive-produced by Mandalay Television's Elizabeth Stephen (Brotherhood), who brought the project to TNT and Lincoln. Stephen Michaud, represented by Authorlink Literary Group for his true crime titles, is the author and co-author of a number of bestselling true crime books. Five of his titles now rank on the Top 100 Serial Killer book list on Amazon, including THE DEVIL'S RIGHT HAND MAN, he co-authored with Debbie Price. Watch the RPM microseries. |
