Lee Child, today's hottest thriller writer, talks about his newly-released book, Lee Child considers himself lucky. His first novel, Killing Floor, won the Anthony and Barry awards for Best First Mystery. Since then he has written 12 books, including his latest, Nothing to Lose (Delacorte, August 2008). Five or six of his works have been on the New York Times Bestseller list; all are optioned for major motion pictures. How does he do it? In this video talk with Authorlink, Lee explores his goal of achieving a personal relationship with his readers. "The audience always comes first, second and third," he says. Lee encourages writers not to give up on trying to become published. "If you believe in your work, you have to keep showing up" in front of agents and editors.
