Jeff Kleinman, one of the founders of the newly-established Folio Literary Management, LLC, talks with Authorlink in this audio interview about the partners' vision for the new group and about what authors need to know to interest an agent in representing them. In addition to the traditional role of literary agents, Folio Literary Management works closely with its clients to develop their platforms, writing, and credentials, and to assist them in marketing and promoting their books. Writers who wish to query Jeff Kleinman and the other partners are asked to carefully read the submission guidelines and individual agents' interests before querying them. Jeff holds a B.A. with High Distinction from the University of Virginia (English), an M.A. from the University of Chicago (Italian Language & Literature), and a J.D. from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law. Before starting Folio, he was with the Graybill & English Literary Agency, which closed its operations February 28, 2006 after eight years as a highly respected agency. Folio Literary Management has offices in New York and Washington, D.C. Their web site is: www.foliolit.com. |
